Don’t cook…

don't cook

If you don’t have time to clean up, you don’t have time to cook…

Seth Godin 12/18

Life, relationships, business and marriage is all about the whole thing.

It is all about the beginning, the middle and the end.

The honeymoon was great, but the real marriage is when you get home and start the daily life stuff. To tell the truth, the daily life stuff is mundane and boring sometimes. But that is where the real test of your relationship begins.

Yes, vacations and holidays are great, and they do a lot in growing your relationships. But the marriage isn’t a marriage until the messy stuff is dealt with. The dishes must be cleaned, the lawn mowed, the trash taken out and that is a part of the relationship we would like to ignore. But it’s the clean up stuff that is important, sometimes more important than the exciting stuff in life.

If you are going to commit to a relationship or a project you must be in it for the whole thing.

The richer or poorer part, the sickness and health part and the death to do us part, part.

If you don’t like the messy part of a relationship don’t have the relationship.

Dirty dishes come with cooking the meal.
