What is therapy?

Therapy is a safe, non-judgmental place where people can discuss issues that are causing distress and conflict in their lives.

The emphasis is on safe. Your counselor should first make you feel that you are comfortable and open to honest sharing.

Second understand that your counselor is not there to condemn you. This therapy thing is all about healing and finding answers to your questions.

The therapist might push you and pull you a bit. Understand it is all about you and you feeling better about yourself and your issues.
