Love 29

Day 29

1 Corinthians 14:1

Pursue love…

You can’t expect to sit around your house and love is going to fall out of the sky and hit you on the head.

There are no arrows shot from Cupid’s bow that make you instantly fall for someone. You have to go out there in the big, bad world and find love.

I’m not talking about doing this caveman style though. You can’t go out and hit someone on the head with a club and drag them back to your cave (home).

Love isn’t going to fall on your either. If you want to love and be loved, you have to be out in the world available and open. To be loved you have to be lovable.

Too many people are sitting on their couches twiddling their thumbs and dreaming of true love.

Get out, join, be a part of something, get involved at church, join groups, and organizations that interest you. Clean up your act, put on a smile and get out there.

Use God as an example.

Yes, God. God has been pursuing our love for centuries. He’s sent gifts, messages, and even His son to win our love. God is still pursuing our love this very day. God’s not finished in His love for us.

Never stop in your pursuit of love.

  1. Yea, I know you have tried everything and this love thing is just not happening. Don’t stop, don’t give up. Never give up.

  2. But don’t go all weird either. There are some places where you will not find love. Some places and people could even hurt you. Be wise in your search for love.

  3. Don’t let the “media” steer you in the wrong direction either. Those guys and girls on the screen are actors and a fantasy. Look for love with real people.
