Here are a few things you can do to relieve stress and calm down:
Create time and space to clear your mind.
The only way you can calm down is to get a little me time. Life’s busy but take a few minutes if you can. You need that time to take a breath and calm yourself.
Control your environment.
You live in a crazy world. But believe it or not you do have some control. The laundry has to be done. The dishes have to be washed. But you have control over that. You can let it pile up or you can do what needs to be done.
You can move the furniture around, you can straighten things up you can have a bit of control over the stuff that causes stress.
I know it’s a nasty word but exercise can go a long way in decreasing stress. A little sweat releases a lot of pent up emotions. Not to mention losing some weight and sleeping better.
Stretch, walk, run get out there and exercise your muscles.
Ask for help
You can’t do it alone. You never could. Get some help. Hire a babysitter. Call grandma. Call a friend.
If you need to call a professional.
Get the help you need. Now!
Help somebody else out. Do something nice for others.
It will get your mind off your own troubles and make you feel better.
Be a blessing to someone else.
Your blessing will return to you.
