Why Resolutions Fail…

Reasons Resolutions Don’t Work

Research shows only 8% of people achieve their New Year’s Resolutions.

1.     The Resolutions made weren’t meaningful.

Everyone wants to lose weight, exercise and change. But until you really mean it. It ain’t going happen.

If you truly want to change you have to really want it. Not just in your head, but it’s a body and soul thing too.

Write it down, tell someone who will help and make the change be the change.

2.     There was no plan.

You have to know where you want to go. So, you want to lose weight. Have a plan for what you want and when you want to get there. Don’t reach too far. Have small achievable landmarks along the way to achieving the goal. Reward yourself along the way. Recognize you might fall. But keep the long-range goal always in mind.

3.     Forgetfulness.

You have bad habits and resolutions are meant to change those habits. A big problem is slipping back into those habits and forgetting what you really want.

Constantly remind yourself of your resolution. Post it, repeat it and keep it always on your mind. Change the bad habits for good ones. Don’t let yourself forget and fall back into the bad habits that you want to change.
