The Magic in Letting Go…

unnamed

The Magic of Letting go

We were meant to fly.

Maybe not literally but we can fly emotionally, spiritually and mindfully.

Our dreams and imaginations were given to us so that we could rise above this world and be transported to another time and place.

Books, movies and music help us to transcend the gravity of time and space.

However we have so many, many things that seem to tie us down and anchor us in this world.

There are things that bring us down that are out of our control. Jobs, mortgages and responsibilities weigh on us.

I am not advocating running away and escaping from any of these. You have to do what you have to do.

However you don’t have to be bound and chained to them. You have the freedom to fly.

Let me make some suggestions to free you to fly.

  • Get rid of everything you don’t need.

  • Make some decisions about what is important and keep only those important things.

  • Invest in memories and experiences not stuff.

  • Work smarter and work less.

  • Spend more time outside.

  • Educate your mind. Learn more and dream more.

  • Let go of relationships that are negative.

  • Be a blessing to others.

  • Don’t be tempted by shiny stuff.

  • If you really need something look for used, re-purposed and second hand.

  • Remember you are judged by your values not your bling.

  • Free is not a bad word.

You were meant to fly.

Don’t let people places and things keep you on the ground.
