Unplug

It’s not by accident that we’ve started using “unplug” as a synonym for relax.

You do it and I do it.

We carry our devices around with us and we check them often. We don’t want to be left out so we check our phone. We don’t want to be bored so we check our phone. We check and re-check when we think we are left out. We text, pin, google, email our merry lives away.  At any moment of the day our night we can check our devices. They are there 24 hours a day.

We can never relax because we are always on, ready to devour new news and data.

We are nervous, sleepless and on edge and the little devices in our hands aren’t helping one bit.

So what are you to do?

Simple put the little electronic  time sucker away. Get it out of your sight and ear shot. Walk away, quickly away.

You need the time to breathe and to be quiet for a while.

Just a short time away from that thing will do you a world of good. It really will.

Put it away for a minute, hour or even the whole day.

Relax really relax. Unplug your life for just a little while. It will do you a world of good.
